Send the Rain

They refused to baptize me
So you sent the rain
Like a promise
With a rainbow
Knot tied
A scouts honor
Or a cadet
Dutifully dedicated
A life of no regrets
When cast about
In turbulent seas
Your righteousness brought

A storm is but another way
We learn to settle not
Demanding more milk
Cultivating more honey
An unsatisfied lot
Was it the knowledge we sought
Our eternal quest
Of which an end there is not
The tree of life must be passed down
The legacy we carry on

I know you are there
Hidden in the darkness
You are what always made
Everything matter
Happy helping
Content with your purpose
Your words bring life
In umbratile
Under any pen name
Making miracles happen
And like a baptism
We might all be freed
