Assembling Theories

There is an art to assembly

Like Smalls you take inventory

Size up the structure and deliberate

Listenin' to Moms take up a teammate

The possibilities seem endless, but are

Known to be confined none the less

Building bridges to fill the gaps

Between biology and physics

We are always trying to predict what comes next

Theorizing our own origins

Objects under duress

Coerced and threatened, not always acting our best

More than stressed

Our histories intertwined, recursive

Pursuant of the sublime

Creating classes so that we might better define

The configuration of this point in time

Our framework lacking the ability to unite

Constrained by the finite, a sense of being limited

In strength and might, broken on the inside

Was it not Cain's jealousy that ended Abel's life

Letting emotions drive, the mechanisms of bitterness

Unfulfilled lives, bondless and out of sight

Being too complex to replicate

The novelty of individuality, lost on the atomic

Minds unwilling to self-reflect

Always taking the shortest path

Unwilling to combine new lessons with old rhymes

Building fences in a straight line

When waves and arches do just fine

Demanding less resources, still

Standing for the longest time

Strung up and indexed

A representation of our lives

Only increasing in size

Molecular information easily copied

With descriptions left undefined

Skill sets left unquantified

Producing no known value

Muti-steps in every wrong direction

On a loop, stacking up each indiscretion

Universally, unrealistic

Dynamics unnaturally complex

Searching for validation in chemicals

Cast down from heaven, not sent

Selecting my path, impassioned

Morphing and grafting images

Inside my head, using messenger

Thoughts encrypted, to which access was not meant

Targeting objects unmeant

Catalysts in the downfall

Not asked to rebuild the environment

Co-conspirators

Single celled organisms

Copied and uncomplex

Look at US

Wandering the halls of Modern Art

Asking which box we all fit
