a heat sequence

You haven't fallen out of Love
with Life,
you're just in the middle of it,
the part that tries your patience.
It's like the Bengali Tea Boy
you've taken with you—
extra baggage from the past,
things you hold on to
that might not be needed.

Consider partial differential equations;
how the peaks and valleys
of a human being's heat sequence
is distributed over the surface of time.
Passion being our highs and
dispassion being our lows,
all accounted for on the graph of Life.

Observe the changes over time
the challenges faced, no matter
how nice a previous or proceeding slice.
Life is really no different than Love.
They are synonymous, both
making us question our existence:
why all this compounding and complicated inconsistence!?
They push us to our limits, and yet
we are never any more or less in it.

Remember to measure the unfolding difference.
How far you've come, and the next
opportunity advantage.
Love is not always romantic, but
over the course of one's Life
it may be one heck of a poetic epic.
